Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how CleanLess (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use the App.
- Information We Access
CleanLess is designed to help you organize and clean screenshots, duplicate or similar photos, and other supported media on your device.
The App may request access to your photo library in order to provide features such as:
• Detecting and organizing screenshots
• Identifying duplicate or similar screenshots
• Identifying duplicate or similar photos
• Categorizing screenshots
• Displaying photos and screenshots for review
• Allowing you to select and delete unwanted items
• Calculating potential storage savings
Access to your photo library is used only to provide the features you choose to use.
2.On-Device Photo Analysis
Where supported, CleanLess analyzes screenshots and photos directly on your device.
Features such as screenshot recognition, similarity detection, and photo organization may use Apple-provided technologies, including the Vision framework.
Your photos and screenshots are not uploaded to our servers for these on-device analysis features.
3.Photo Library Permission
CleanLess may request permission to access your photo library.
You can choose whether to grant this permission. Without photo library access, some cleaning, organization, and screenshot management features may not function.
You can change photo permissions at any time through your device settings.
4.Deleting Photos and Screenshots
CleanLess does not automatically delete photos or screenshots without user action.
When using cleanup features, you are given the opportunity to review and select items before deletion.
Deleted items may remain in the Recently Deleted album for a period determined by iOS and your device settings.
5.QR Code Scanner
CleanLess may provide a QR code scanning feature.
Camera access is required only when you choose to scan a QR code.
Camera content used for QR scanning is processed for the purpose of recognizing the QR code. CleanLess does not use the camera to record you in the background.
6.Storage Widget
CleanLess may provide a Home Screen widget that displays storage-related information.
The widget uses information necessary to provide the selected feature and does not independently access your personal photos.
7.Device Permissions
Depending on the features you use, CleanLess may request access to:
• Photos — for screenshot and photo organization and cleanup
• Camera — for QR code scanning
• Notifications — if notification-related features are provided and enabled by you
Permissions are requested only when required for the corresponding feature.
You can manage these permissions through iOS Settings.
8.Personal Information
CleanLess does not require you to create an account to use its core features.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise within the App, we do not require you to provide personal information such as:
• Your name
• Home address
• Contacts
• Personal messages
• Photo library contents
9.Advertising and Third-Party Services
CleanLess may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising partners.
These third-party services may process certain device, advertising, diagnostic, or usage information in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable platform requirements.
Where required by applicable law or Apple policies, we will request your permission before allowing tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies.
CleanLess does not sell the contents of your personal photo library to advertisers.
10.Analytics and Diagnostics
We may use limited analytics or diagnostic information to understand App performance, identify crashes, and improve the user experience.
The specific information processed depends on the services integrated into the App.
We do not use the contents of your photos or screenshots for advertising analytics.
11.Data Retention
Information processed locally for photo analysis generally remains on your device.
If third-party services process analytics, advertising, or diagnostic information, their retention practices are governed by their respective privacy policies.
12.Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by CleanLess.
However, no electronic system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13.Children’s Privacy
CleanLess is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable privacy laws.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child where parental consent was required, we will take appropriate steps to address the situation.
14.Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, legal requirements, or our privacy practices.
When changes are made, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy will be revised.
